[QUOTE="NickName, post: 84975, member: 21675"] This is a bit late but one thing I have learned is that XP's System Restore feature is a blessing! I downloaded a free application that creates a Restore Point at every boot so 'if' something goes horribly wrong, I just 'System Restore' my system back to when MP worked perfectly. As an example, I tried using 'standby' mode on main MP box but I couldn't get it to wake up again without a hard reboot. That reboot screwed up my MP big time. I couldn't get the TV cards recognised again and some other small issues. Now when somethiing goes wrong, it takes me 10 minutes to restore it back to when it was 'all good'. I know this doesn't help you but it's worth downloading an automatic Restore Point creator to help you get MP perfect one step at a time, rather then 2 steps forward and then 1 step back. It may be worth checking System Restore to see if you can roll it back to before you had issues? Additionally I have found that uninstalling MP and then reinstalling can fix issues too. NOTE: Make sure you reboot between uninstall and reinstall to clear any rubbish from memory etc. I hope that helps. P.S. Now if my wife rings me at work to say she is having MP issues (rarely I might add), I talk her through rolling the system back with System restore. That is much easier then trying to diagnose/repair PC faults over a phone. P.S.S I notice you are using the latest MP, it may worth trying version 2.0.0 and then apply the 2.0.4 patch? It's not so 'bleeding edge' and it may help. Also I picked up a 2nd hand AU$50 DirectX9 compatible card from the PC markets. It works a treat and does not require a cooling fan so it's about as quiet as can be. It does play games too but obviously not high quality like a true gamer would like but then this PC is for TV, DVD, radio, etc and occasionally 'The Simpsons' game for the kids, so it's a great card.
