Synopsis::

I'm not familiar with 'video stuff on computers' at all, so please bear with me if the answer to is my question is every obvious to you.

I cannot get anything (no sound and black screen) from my tv card. The channels are detected (and visible in the preview window during autotuning). I have tried various combinations of overlays, video renderers, video and audio codecs (also using the configuration tool), but nothing seems to work.
Can anyone tell me which combination should work? (if any)

My TV: progress!

I'm not sure what happened, but after some reboots and restarting of MP I have audio and video. The current problem is that the video is 'scrolling' (if that's the correct term to use). The video is flickering and shown a number of times at once.
It seems that I'm nearly there. Can anybody tell me how to solve this one?

Same problem here with a Hauppage 150MCE

Clean Xp install with SP2.
.Net 1.1 + sp1
.Net 2.0
Latest drivers for everything.

Autoscan for channels works good, in the preview, i see good television, but when i go to the actual myTV, then i only see tv when "Timeshifting" is enabled and then the television is flickering..

    Hi,

first: use VMR9 as video renderer, thats much better than overlay.

second: where do you come from. Multiple picture can be seen, if the TV standard (PAL, NTSC,...) is not set correctly. MP has sometimes problems here. Look into you channel configuration, if it is set right.

Tried a fresh install of everything (including XP and all the other crap).

Now everything is working perfectly, except...... mytv!

Channels are detected all, but when i go to mytv, i can't click the tv button and the timeshift button is grey (disabled).
Tried to autostart tv when entering mytv, but that doesn't work either.

I just don't get mytv to work, while in a former installation.. i did see telly, but flickering.

Tried other codex, vmr 9 and 7, reinstall of hauppage 150 drivers.. nothing seems to work.

I just can't click on the televisionbutton..
    Weird weird weird.

I use nvidia purevideodrivers which seems to work superb with my movies and trailers and stuff, so i think it aint a problem of the drivers.
