My TVSeries doesn't update while running (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I recently updated MP and My TVSeries to the latest version. Now the series view don't update while MP is running when I add episodes to a watched folder. Even when I choose 'Force local scan' in the menu nothing happens.

The 'Watch folder for updates' option is enabled and it updates just fine when I close and restart MP.

Hi, Im Having the same problem

Had this issue on the previous version of MP using StreamedMP
Yesterday did a Hardware upgrade, clean install of Win7 32bit and 1.2 Beta, and the latest Streamed MP
All works great, shows updated etc but while in MP shows added to folder will not be scanned or updated, MP needs to be closed and reopened before the new TV Series will be shown,

What other info can I give?

    RickP and ZaJules, please adjust MediaPortal config to use debug log mode, then open MP-TVSeries config and also adjust the drop down box for log mode to 'debug'.

    Then recreate your problem in the least amount of steps required to make the problem occur, so that the log files contain all the relevant information about what is going on. This is very important, because otherwise the log files are useless.

    You then provide *ALL* of the log files, not just what you think is needed in a ZIP file as attachment to a reply on this thread. If you know more about what is going on exactly then yes, you can use snipplets, but in 9 out of 10 cases that snipplet refers to what happens AFTER it goes wrong, and in order to fix things it has to be known what happens before, during, etc. Since MP-TVSeries ties in very close with MediaPortal, it could be that the problem is caused by another plugin or MediaPortal itself, this is why *ALL* of the log files can sometimes be needed.

    On another note, this problem has happened before for other users, and in most cases it turned out they had some sort of other program/daemon that kept a lock on the file preventing MP-TVSeries from doing anything to the newly added files. This could be the app you use to obtain the media file, a rename tool, a virus scanner, etc, etc.

    Thanks for the reply, I will run the debug today and post the logs,

    Here is a list of whats installed on my setup

    Format and clean Install Win7 32bit Ultimate
    MP 1.2.0 Beta
    Streamed MP 1.6.6.2799
    IR Server Suite Test Build 1.4.2.4189
    OnlineVideos 0.30.0.1 (Installed only after initial problem was detected)

    My TV Series is setup to watch 2 drives on my Media PC (2x 1.5TB Internal SATA Drives)
    Follw.it is setup and working well

    OK so in perfect Murphy's Law I setup everything to debug get some episodes to load, go into TV Series and copy the files to the watched older and don't you just know it all just works this time :)

    Not sure why but Ill keep testing!

    Ok I can now confirm that TV Series is now working 100%, Not sure why as nothing was changed,
    I Just added a whole series while in Tv Series and with in 5 seconds it detected the files and started adding them.

    I'm a happy puppy with a perfect MP setup,
