    Great plugin!

    But is it an idea to use 127.0.0.1:8080 by default for Sabnzbd?
    I initially had the same problem as GuustFlater and although i quickly found the problem it would have been easier if it worked "out of the box".

    I guess. I figured that if you installed SABnzbd and then configured it (which would have been done at 127.0.0.1.8080) that you would know what that meant. I guess you all edited the ini files by hand? I'll make sure that that's the default from here on out.

    Im trying to get 0.3 to run on my setup but it seems to be very slow and will not add any NZB to altbinz.exe?

    Could this have something to do with me running the RC2 of MP?

    Hi,

    I can't seem to get this running on the RC2. I've got SABNZBd running on my Machine (localhost:8080/sabnzbd) with auth and the Nove 0.3-Skin. My default site is 'TVNZB'. I don't get any Status Messages from sabnzbd, and whenever I try to add a nzb-File, I't says error downloading nzb.

    In My Log it says:
    2007-09-08 10:07:29.843750 [ERROR][16]: My Usenet: Error downloading NZB, error message: System.ArgumentNullException: Der Wert darf nicht NULL sein.
    Parametername: path
    bei System.IO.Directory.CreateDirectory(String path, DirectorySecurity directorySecurity)
    bei ClassLibrary1.myusenet.getnzb()

    <password>Pass</password>
    <ipport>localhost:8080</ipport>
    <defaultsite>TVNZB</defaultsite>
    </myusenet>

    Please help ;)

    I've just tested it with RC2 and didn't have any problems. Can you attach or paste your logs?

    That error message looks to be an error in the creation of the target directory. That directory is taken from your sabnzbd.ini file. Can you look in your Mediaportal.log and see what the directory it's getting is when the plugin first loads?

    Hmmm...I've put logging to the 'Debug'-Level, but I still cannot find somewhere where I can find what settings the plugin is using. It seems that the plugin is not loading the config.

    It also doesn't work if i putt the usenet-software to nothing.

    Any Ideas?

    Thanks.

    I always had trouble when using another skin then the default sabnzbd skin. Might be something there jburnette.

    You're definitely correct on that one. You have to use the skin files I included as no one has done an up to date skin for the plugin. IzeQube, that would be my first suggestion to you. Also, if you look in Mediaportal.log you should see these three lines after starting the plugin:

    2007-09-08 21:29:27.622000 [Info.][10]: My Usenet: SABnzbd NZB dir read from \\JUSTIN-3C9566B9\temp\SABnzbd-0.2.5-w32\sabnzbd.ini as \\JUSTIN-3C9566B9\temp\SABnzbd-0.2.5-w32\NZB_blackhole\
    2007-09-08 21:29:27.827000 [Info.][10]: My Usenet: Successfully read config from myusenet.xml.
    2007-09-08 21:29:27.828000 [Info.][10]: My Usenet: Successfully read config from site xml files.

    You shouldn't have to adjust the logging level. Set everything up how you like it and Again, as eloo said, make absolutely certain that you are using the skin file that I included. You should see those three lines and the first one should tell you what directory has been read from your SAB config file. That will give us a huge clue as to why it won't write to said directory. If it still doesn't work, just attach your Mediaportal.log and I'll have a look.

    Also, on a side note. I'm done with SAB queue management and history viewer and am just working on cleaning everything up and trying to eliminate some of these problems people are having. When I first wrote this it was just intended to allow my wife to download her episodes of The Hills while I was gone but it has grown into something much bigger. I should have a new version out in the next week or so.

    Hi jburnette,

    Thanks for the plugin! Awesome idea :) But I have a problem with it.. I've installed it, configured and opened in MP (I use 0.2.3.0 RC2 + TV Engine 3 as one seat setup with Blue Wide skin). I also have alt.binz running. The problem is that the plugin does not show anything on the right side of the screen - all I get is the menu options on the left side with download status updates from alt.binz under it. If I search NZB sites (Newzbin, NZBMatrix) it looks like it searches them, but then does not display the results - all it has is 'back' and 'next' on the bottom and I can select those and it does more searching.. I checked MP log file - didn't see any errors there - there were these messages:

    My Usenet: Successfully read config from myusenet.xml.
    My Usenet: Successfully read config from site xml files

    And then something related to the plugin for every action I was trying to do in there..

    Any ideas? Thank you in advance

    P.S. I just installed Replicant Vista edition skin and it looks like it already has XML for your plugin. The layout a bit different, but, unfortunately, it doesn't really work - does not show status info, does not let me browse the feed..

    You'll need to use the skin file I included. No one has done an up to date version. I think that's probably at the root of all your problems. Try that first and let me know if it works for you.
