    Hi there,
    The plugin works great!
I hope there will be support for binsearch.info, binsearch.net and yabse.com, which are the search site (free) that I use most of the time.

EDIT: I found a small bug: I have my SABNzbD blackhole folder (\NZBDownloads\NZB) on another disc, which is configured in SABNzbD. The plugin saves the nzb file still in the original folder. Does it look to the SABNzbD settings?

I will take a look at adding at those.

You're right, it always puts it in the that folder. I'll release an update in the next couple of days that will read the directory from the SAB ini file. I didn't account for a setup like that.

I've uploaded version 0.2. It adds support for Yabse and reading from the SAB ini file, among a few other things. Check the first post for details. Let me know if you have any problems. And by the way, thank you to dwoodzz for testing and helping make things a little smoother.

    great work!!!

Do you think it would be possible to add the ability to add downloads to sabnzb running on a different machine? My htpc doesn't run sabnzb. My server does.

You can already do that. What you'll need to do though is open up SABnzbd's control panel (the web based one) and go to config->General and change the host from 127.0.0.1 to that computers NAT IP. Kill SAB and restart it. That will make SAB accessible to other computers on your network. Then share its folder and specify that folder and IP address in My Usenet setup. That should work for you.

That won't work for me as my shared folders are read only. It shouldn't be that hard since sabnzb already supports adding downloads using http.

If newzbin downloads could also be added using the postid when using sabnzb, that would be great. I have sabnzd download into folders with the same name as the newzbin categories , tv shows download into the TV folder, and that only works when downloads are added using newzbin postid.

    Thanks

I was working on a similar plugin but didn't have anytime to work on it so if you need any help let me know.

That's a good idea. What do you think about an option in the newzbin configuration that will allow you to specify whether to download the NZB or import by postid?

How do you configure my usenet for "other", there's no examples in the xml file and I can't find the config anywhere in MP.

Edit: I discovered you have to right click the my usenet icon in the mediaportal setup. :p

    A few comments

First of all, just tried 0.2, works great with sabnzbd, and now my girlfriend is downloading.

I have a few suggestions for improvement, I know some of them are very demanding, so only accept them as my humble ideas.

    1) The "My" in "My Usenet" can't be removed using MP Setup under skin
    2) In 16:9 B2 the ETA overlaps next column
    3) Move Pause/resume from the bottom to the left.
    4) Disable standby with Powerscheduler when download is active, or rather when sabnzbd is download/unrar/unparring.
    5) Wake up in given timeperiod to empty download que.
    6) Perhaps allow two more lines for the downloading info.
    7) Shutdown or start SABnzbd.
    8) Postsize on newzbin next to name of post.

But most important! This is great, and great you released the code.

Thanks for the great/detailed feedback. I needed some errors/ideas like these pointed out.

    1. Rookie mistake but an easy fix.

    2. Yeah, I wasn't sure about the widescreen skin. I have only a SD TV so that skin was done on my laptop with it's widescreen. I'll play fix it.

    3. This one I don't really know about. The problem is that some providers (Newzbin and Yabse in particular) display a good amount of information in the text box below the buttons on the left. Adding another button would take up even more space, but I did notice that when running a 16:9 skin I was able to make the text box much wider. This may be a situation where the button will have to stay where it is in the 4:3 skin but could be moved to the left in the 16:9 version. Another problem that arises is that the Pause button replaces a label that is unique to alt.binz only. It also kind of fits in that section because that is where SAB's status is. I'll definitely play around with it as I (hopefully) will finally be upgrading to HD this month. That will make the whole skin thing much easier.

    4. I'll have to read up on how exactly you pass messages to powerscheduler, but I'm sure it's relatively easy.

    5. Not sure what you mean here. You want the computer to wake up and empty the queue?

    6. Yea, that label looks horrible. I think a combination of changing it and moving the pause button could clean up the skin a lot.

    7. Already added.

    8. You mean instead of below it, you want it beside it?

How does the widescreen skin look other than that? I really can't test it properly as I don't think my laptop's monitor produces the same results that an actual TV does. Could I get you to post a screenshot preferably with TV on so that I can see how things are lined up?

    Hi jburnette,

I tried the 0.2 version, and I have some remarks:
    - It does take a setting from de SabNZBD.ini file, but I think it's the wrong one. It should take the value "dirscan_dir" for the location to put the .nzb files in.
EDIT: I found out that it's a problem with the custom name... When entering a custom name for a download, it forgets the \ between folder and filename, therfore it places the file in a higher folder, with the target foldername in the filename....

    - When performing a search through Yabse with a remote keyboard, the on screen keyboard stays on screen after pressing <enter>. It does search (it takes quite a while), but you think it's frozen..... Then suddenly the on screen keyboard disappears and the search results are there. Maybe you can hide the keyboard and show a "wait circle"?

Nevertheless, this plugin is quite an enrichement of MP!!!

    Guustflater,

It should be reading the dirscan_dir field from the ini. It works here, can you give me your dirscan_dir line out of the ini file?

The Yabse results have a lot of parsing done on them and I would say that is what is taking so long. If it's a big problem right now you can reduce the number of search results returned and that should help a little bit. I definitely did want to add those little spinning wait circles too, though. I'll try to get that in the next version. Also, since you suggested Yabse, do you have any idea if their RSS feeds usually work? I can't connect to any of them.
