How do I scan my dvd library?

I want to ask a very basic question. I just downloaded MP and would like to scan my movies (title,video_ts) into the database. I start the seperate configuration utility, I see the movies tab, I show it where my movie collection is , it puts it in the window, but I don't see where you get it to scan the folder. I guess I'm overlooking some thing very simple, but could someone tell how to start the scan of the folder.

You were in the right place. In config., just click on the 'scan' tab under Movies > Movie Database as described here.

Double click is the answer

I guess it was obvious to everone but me. When I went to Movies and clicked once on it, a box opened up
to put your movie path in,but no where is was a tab to scan the list. Out of flustration , I closed the box, ( I had been there many times before) and for some un known reason, I double clicked Movies, this time it brought up multiple tabs to click on, one of which was the scan feature that I couldn't find. I hope I'm not the only one that didn't think about double clicking instead of single clicking. Thanks for the help.

While I'm here I do have another problem, when I'm playing my movies, the close caption of what I'm hearing pops up at the bottom, I right clicked on the picture and found a dialog to turn off closed captions, but it doesn't work.
Any ideas what the problem is ?
