I forgot to mention, i've set the background to "multiimage" with background images in animations/ARCADE. So you'll have to edit that.

I did these myself by downloading/cropping/resizing from The Arcade Flyer Archive - News as I like both vertical and horisontal games, and I wanted a standard size that'd look good in MediaPortal. And it's not a complete set, but just for the games I like. I use Final Burn Alpha instead of MAME, but they share the same roms (except neogeo.zip) as far as I know.

I "finished" the .xml for StreamedMP. Only filmstrip view is imperfect, but I don't plan on using that, so someone else can work that out if you need it.

Issues:
* Selected item in Filmstrip doesn't give the right description in the Gamename/year/maker window at the top
* Filmstrip items aren't optimally sized

The game thumbs/previews are poster/dvd cover sized. If you want an .xml with 4:3 ratio thumbs, download and rename the one called "myEmulators(square preview).xml" to "myEmulators.xml" instead.

UPDATE!

2009-01-13

Changed id's to work with the quite fresh 3.0 of the plugin available in the plugin repository. The new file is called myemulators(poster view).xml

If anyone wants the square view, please update the ids in the available .xml and make it available here as I don't have the energy at the moment to update that one.

The default path to background images for both .xml files are now "media/animations/emulator". The 4:3 .xml has "emulators" as the default background folder.

To get this working (year, maker ) you'll need the latest SVN build of the plugin from here: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/my-emulators-247/my-emulators-12771/index53.html#post331387

I guess this works in the Mediastream by Pilehave skin as well, haven't had time to check it out there though. Please let me know if it ain't working.

btw... I get a black background in MyEmulators using this .xml. The .xml contains the following line:

<imagepath>ARCADE</imagepath>

is this correct?

[edit]No worries, got this working by changing the path to "emulator". (One can also add a mape "arcade" to the media/animations folder).

Here you go rkooten. The filmstrip view still has issues, and those thumbs are more square than 4:3. But the list view looks good. And I've remembered to change the background path to "emulators" instead of "ARCADE".

You might wanna backup your current .xml and rename this.

That depends on which skin file you're using. For the one with poster sized they go into "media\Animations\ARCADE" and for the one with square preview thumbs, they go into the "media\Animations\emulator".
