MyFilms and Cover Art (1 Viewer)

Hi again. Thanks for checking out the configuration. I tried your updated xml. (In fact am running it yet again as I write), but I still am getting NO covers.
I read through the WiKI and I read the AMCUpdater config and the MyFilms config and am completely confused by what I should be putting for Covers folders. I dont understand Relative Path/Full path stuff so playing around with these has created a total mess where I just cant find where these covers are , if they are downloading where they are going and why they aren't showing up!!

Ihave run this update 8 times now in the last two days with different configs and now the xml you posted. Nothing appears to bring up any covers! I am at my wits end with this.

Is there a simple guide to tell me what entries I need to make in the configs of both MyFilms and AMCUpdater to get covers downloaded and picked up?

Here are some logs and xml files following my latest attempt to get covers installed and to show in MyFilms plugin.


This time I tried creating a new config in MyFilms with storing covers to D:Covers.
I let the script run and low and behold covers appear in the folder D:Covers but they dont appear in ANTMC or in MP when I run it!!

I used the default selections in MyFilms config and it took 2 hours to go through the 600+ movies but nothing appears to have changed in AMC or MP .i.e No covers showing!!


This is my last and final attempt I have a life to get on with..

Hi z3us,

Here is my database ALL the films fail to download cover art. The few that have cover art has been attached manually.
I tried again last night with a new config set up via the MyFilms wizars with default values and with Mymovies.xml located in the default AMC catalog folder. Still the same outcome using either of the two grabbers I uploaded. I must be doing something wrong buy cant see what!.

Hi,
Thanks for these but still wont work. I even restored an image of my PC toa date prior to MyFilms and AMC install and then re-installed them both, loaded up my xml databse and tried with the grabbers you posted using default settings on MyFilms config.

I just selected to Update Record for all records populating empty fields only (so that should populate cover art ,yes?). On completion Itried to use the AMCUpdater tab to view the database and AMCUpdater crashed with the following :

On opening AMC and loading up the database there is no sign of any cover art!! Nothing has been downloaded.

Any ideas.?

    While doing a manual update in AMCUpdater for the picture field i discovered that the imdb id is is NOT used and i have to select the movies manually.

    I also found out that some movies got double or triple imported.

    Hi,
    re imdb usage - did you update using an imdb type script? e.g. Cinefacts doesn't support IMDB id.
    re dupes: can you post full logs, your config and your DB - did you use last public or latest svn release?
