Will it still play fine in MyMovies if you point it to the IFO?

Changing 400+ movies from Online Folder to Online File is going to be a bitch. Maybe MyFilms can just provide a fix for this in the next update.

I was dreading the same thing, so instead I just created the XML from the MyMovies database that pointed to the movie folders. I then ran the XML file through a the freeware program BK ReplaceEm with the following rule:

Code:
[B]Find origional Text[/B]
{}g<LocationSideA>%pathtoYOURmoviesshare%\{}g</LocationSideA>

[B]Replace with[/B]
{}a{}o\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.IFO{}z

This tells the program to look for the path to your movies in the XML file and add the standard path to the IFO file on to it. It doesnt change your actual MyMovies database, but does change the whole XML file so MyFilms reads it perfectly! Now each time I edit my MyMovies database, I just run this saved script on the XML before updating MyFilms.

Try the new version 4.4.1.3 it's normally search the IFO file with MyMovies Online Folder option.
No need to point to the IFO file

It is really not very convenient to change this for all your movies that you have in Mymovies database.
I know the it it supposed to play .ifo files automatically. But what about .iso files or even .avi files?

Do I really need to change to Online file on all my non .ifo file movies?
Is it possible that we get support for this in future versions?
