    Hi Guys,

I've been trying without success to create a version of the mymovies.xml(local) scraper that can actually get certification/ rating information for the UK.

I'm not really a programmer so I was just wondering if people feel that this is possible before I waste anymore time :).

I know that mymovies.xml files don't actually contain a rating as such, just a "number code" which represents an actual rating e.g. "4" represents UK:12, "5" is UK:15 etc. So my thinking was I'd need to acquire this number and perform a transform (similar to what I've seen posted here for the IMDB script to replace US ratings with UK ratings in situations where no UK rating is available).

    Any thoughts welcome.

    TIA :D

I miss this feature so much as well!
    I actually added an enhancement request on code.google (# 957 )
But I think you have spotted the problem! The scraper needs to know what the code refers to. However, it would be great if it was possible to support multi countries, i.e. danish ratings are A, 7, 11 and 15 :)

I cant program, so I cant help there, but I would like to provide feedback for ideas.:D

    cheers,
    Jacob

Thanks so much for posting Jacob. :D

I was starting to think I'd either missed something or that there wasn't anyone else interested in trying to do this.

I'll keep looking at this in my spare time but won't pester people if you've already added a feature request.

If it can be done for UK ratings I see no reason why other country codes couldn't also be added. Maybe selectable through a true/false switch in the xml file. Not perfect but until RoChess gets his feature request it would do :)

    All the best.

    Mick.
