When ESC-aping out of mypictures all the other screens of MP are white also.
After a restart of MP the problem stays.

After reconfiguring the videosettings of the PC for instance changing from 32bits colors to 24bits the problem goes away, that is until mypictures is used again..

I have experienced this behavior in all 0.2 versions so far, with a variety of SVN's.
I have tested with the last 3 or 4 versions of the video-card driver to no avail.
The trouble is not related to one picture, it happens randomly. If I where to write a random number generator this behaviore would be very helpfull

The MP logfile can be found here

Other software like games and picture editing software give me no graphical trouble

Has anybody seen this behavior and/or what can I do about it'?

i know, it looks like a user with a PC related problem, however MP is the only app on this machine that produces this behavior.

Furthermore the PC has been reinstalled very recently.

My own guesses are
1) MP messing up the PC's grpahical systems
or
2) MP at some point no longer recognizing the right video card (the white screens are the same as the ones I see when I run MP on a machine with none compatible videocard)
3) the JPG files I want to display are not compatible with MP, I'll give this a try and report findings with JPG files shot with another digital camera

kind regards

just a guess: there seem to be some problem with the picture-database.

try to delete (backup!) PictureDatabase.db3 in your mediaportal/database/ folder and try again.

To mee this looks a bit like an updated skin issue. Try deleting the packedgfx files in your skin's folder. Might help (the files are recreated as a kind of cache).

    Thnx

for the replies, I deleted the pictures database and the trouble went away :p .

I checked the broken DB with SQLite Analyzer, database was not corrupted, tables contained no corrupted data. The only thing I can think of is that there are pictures deleted or renamed/moved that creates the trouble.
Anyway, it works for me now, thank you for the replies, I love this project and it's community :!: :!:

    kind regards
