I'm having a problem wit epsxe v1.6 When I load a PSX game through MyPograms, I get the error "Error: PSX BIOS not found [bios/SCPH1001.BIN]" and epsxe never loads. I do not have this problem outside of MediaPortal, and the arguments I am running are the default (-nogui -loadbin) Any guesses??

I too have been having problems with the "My Programs" plug in. But that is a different story.
Ok, so what start up directory do you have specified for epsxe? Is it the same place where epsxe is installed?
BTW have you gotten other emulators to work? If so what version of MediaPortal are you using?

es I have gotten Nestopia, ZSNES, MAME, Project64, and VirtualBoyAdance all working perfectly fine. The easiest way to get these all working was to disable animations so that MP wouldn't hang when a kill process command was pressed by the gamepad. But for some reason I cannot get epsxe to load, no matter what I do I keep getting the same error. But outside of MP it works just fine, very odd.

Forgot to add I'm using MediaPortal 0.2.2 (haven't had a change to try 0.2.3 RC1 yet) and the start up directory is the same as epsxe. I followed all instructions in the MyPrograms wiki also.

Have you tried launching epsxe from the command line with the given options setup in My Programs?
Try adding "-bios <file>" (where file is your bios) to the epsexe options. That should specify witch bios you want to use.

I am running a nightly build, but my programs dose not work for me. When you click on a rom to launch all the icons kind of blink and then nothing happens. I guess I should update... Oh well.

Yes I tried launching espxe with the default options. It uses the arguments "-nogui -loadbin" I also tried the argument "-nogui -loadbin -bios <SCPH1001.BIN>" using the "-bios <file>" as you recommended. But I received the same error. I'm so confused, it works 100% fine outside of MediaPortal
Anything other ideas?? It's so weird, all my other emulators work fine in MediaPortal- Thread starter

Fred, have you loaded the default options for the emulator? Open up th MyPrograms plugin, and choose Tools ---> Read from Profile ---> and then choose the emulator you are using. Also be sure to go to General Settings and uncheck "Enable Animations" For some reason MediaPortal will hang when you close out the emulator once your finished, like if you issue a Kill Process command with a GamePad (settings are under Remote ---> Direct Input).
