MySql - Unable to upgrade the database (1 Viewer)

I am running MySQL 5.7 with another database.
I connected to the mySQL instance during the installation of mediaportal sucessfully and the mptvdb schema was created sucsessful.
But when running TV-Server Configuration, I get the error "Failed to upgrade the database."
Since I did nowhere find a solution for that error, can anyone here help please?
I would not like to remove MySQL completly, because I need the other database running in it.
I am running everything on a Windows Server 2008R2.

Thanks, yes it does.
It looks like TV Server is not compatible with MySQL 5.7 due to this change:
http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=68419

Sorry, you're going to have to install MySQL 5.6 or lower, or use SQL Server.

Sorry, I'm not sure how to do that. Maybe somebody else can tell you... or check the MySQL manual or forum.

First make a backup of your dBs, then downgrading should work by simply installing 5.6 over the top (in this case):
