OK - I think I have seen the problem enough times. For some reason when getting to the Top Trailer list and picking a movie then a trailer to view - all appears OK, except when I get to the movie "She's The Man" then it seems that it will only play the video that was last played. Note that the info is correct - just that the trailer is the last trailer played.

    Mike

Fixed, They changed the url for that movie a bit, thats why he didn't get it and played the last url in memory. As soon as sourceforge has cvs up again, i will update it.

BTW you can't find the url in the xml file. You have to go a little deeper in Yahoo. A tool i like to use is Url Snooper.

BTW 2 the problem with the preview window has nothing todo with mytrailers as for as i know. I think thats something in the core, but haven't looked into it yet though.

BTW 3 Thanks for the feedback

It could be that Yahoo (maybe only for this one movie) has changed the data. I have saved the source for "She's The Man" and "Scary Movie 4" and will compare the two.

I have looked at the MediaPortal.log file and see the following:
    Code:
3/31/2006 4:02:26 PM She's the Man' Theatrical Trailer
    3/31/2006 4:02:26 PM Texturemanager loaded temporay:thumbs\MPTemp -She's the Man.jpg 101x150 format:X8R8G8B8
    3/31/2006 4:02:26 PM texturemanager:added:thumbs\MPTemp -She's the Man.jpg total:4 mem left:28311552
3/31/2006 4:02:31 PM GUITrailers.DownloadWorker: The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found.
    3/31/2006 4:02:31 PM window:MediaPortal.GUI.Video.GUITrailers deinit

But when I visually go to that page I can copy and paste the URL into WMP10 I can watch the video for "She's The Man."

OK - Here is HTML code from the "She's The Man" Theatrical Trailer section:
    Code:
    <td><font face=arial size=-1><a href="http://us.rd.yahoo.com/movies/trailers/1808762534/1809250843/?http://movies.yahoo.com/mv/mf/frame?theme=minfo&lid=wmv-300-s.21319236-0,wmv-100-s.21319238-0,wmv-56-s.21319239-0,wmv-700-s.21319235-0,wmv-28-s.21319239-0&id=1808762534&f=1808762534&mspid=1809250843&type=t" onClick='rs("videoWin","http://us.rd.yahoo.com/movies/trailers/1808762534/1809250843/?http://movies.yahoo.com/mv/mf/frame?theme=minfo&lid=wmv-300-s.21319236-0,wmv-100-s.21319238-0,wmv-56-s.21319239-0,wmv-700-s.21319235-0,wmv-28-s.21319239-0&id=1808762534&f=1808762534&mspid=1809250843&type=t",737,503); return false;'>
    'She's the Man' Theatrical Trailer</a></font></td>

Here is the same HTML code segment from "Scary Movie 4":
    Code:
    <td><font face=arial size=-1><a href="http://us.rd.yahoo.com/movies/trailers/1808489310/1809259303/?http://movies.yahoo.com/mv/mf/frame?theme=minfo&lid=wmv-300-p.1402170-161278,wmv-700-p.1402171-161278,qtv-56-p.1402164-161278,qtv-100-p.1402165-161278,qtv-300-p.1402166-161278,qtv-700-p.1402167-161278,wmv-56-p.1402168-161278,wmv-100-p.1402169-161278,qtv-28-p.1402164-161278,wmv-28-p.1402168-161278&id=1808489310&f=1808489310&mspid=1809259303&type=t" onClick='rs("videoWin","http://us.rd.yahoo.com/movies/trailers/1808489310/1809259303/?http://movies.yahoo.com/mv/mf/frame?theme=minfo&lid=wmv-300-p.1402170-161278,wmv-700-p.1402171-161278,qtv-56-p.1402164-161278,qtv-100-p.1402165-161278,qtv-300-p.1402166-161278,qtv-700-p.1402167-161278,wmv-56-p.1402168-161278,wmv-100-p.1402169-161278,qtv-28-p.1402164-161278,wmv-28-p.1402168-161278&id=1808489310&f=1808489310&mspid=1809259303&type=t",737,503); return false;'>
    'Scary Movie 4' Theatrical Trailer</a></font></td>

For some reason it appears that when your code is not able to play the trailer then it gets stuck with playing the last video played.

Sorry to hear you are having troubles with mytrailers. The main problem is WMP i think. As long as it won't play in WMP it certainly will not play in MP.

Did you try too look at the WMP-options. Maybe you need a bigger buffer?

Hmmm, never looked at the deep dpwn options in WMP.... might have something there. Right now the "default buffering" is checked. If I set a buffer myself, any suggestions how long to set it to? 5 seconds? 10?

    Thanks....

I tried this, a thirty second buffer gets me about 3/4 through a trailer before stopping to cache again. It took 2mins 10seconds to cache initially, and about another 1min 30sec to cache the second time.

A sixty second buffer gets me all the way through a trailer, but takes around 5 minutes to cache.

Manually setting my speed on the same option page as the cache time results in it completely ignoring the custom cache time, for me at least.

All in all, very disappointing. Since it's behind a router, should I be forwarding any specific ports to it that I wouldn't be already, or does it just run on 80?

As a feature request: Could you add the MPAA Rating? It is there in hte drill down data that you pull the Genres from. Then maybe as follow-on additional request only show trailers that are are below that rating. Like for parents (so their kids wouldn't even see the trailers for movies that are rated "R" - yes, I know they don't show anything during the trailers) that don't want their kids to even see a trailer that "may" have any suggestive material. Especially when the parents aren't around to supervise or there to give comment or to provide answers to questions.

    I really like this plugin!

I have a problem with this plugin in RC3: when I see a trailer in fullscreen, then I cannot back to main window with ESC, other control buttons not see (Forward, Rew, play, stop). I see QT format trailer.

This reply is not meant to help you solve your problem - only that it works fine on my computer. I was running it in a window then I went to full-screen (alt+enter) and pressed esc until I was back at the homescreen. It played the trailer in the mini-viewer window. The OSD at the top was able to pause and play the video with no trouble. I am using RC3 (plain vanilla - no SVN added to it) on this version.
