I first tried 'My Trailers' tonigt. If I click on a trailer in the trailer list for a certain movie the screen turns black and nothing happens. I have to hit Escape to turn back to the screen with the trailers list.

Depending on your connection speed it takes some time to fill the stream buffer. You should wait a bit longer...

OK. I waited 3 minutes for a clip of Pride and Prejudice. Nothing happens. When I watch trailers on an internetsite I can watch it within a few seconds.

First do you use more then one monitor on your pc? (like a tv and a pc-monitor). Because we use Windows Media Player it can only use 1 of these monitors. When you play a file using 2 monitors one will stay black and the other will show the trailer.

If this is not the case look in the mediaportal.log and search for: mms://
copy this url and paste it in Windows Media Player. Does the file play correctly now?

I only use one monitor on my PC.
The file you mentioned plays correctly in WMP

Hmm now i am kindof clueless why it doesn't play in MP. :?

Could you e-mail me your mediaportal.xml and the mediaportal.log

I have the exactly same problem like csberto. It doesn't play in MP, but plays perfectly with VLC for example.

I'll send you my files as well, maybe you can see something strange in there...

Plugin for Slow band users

My band is not enough to download videos and playback live, it just stall the videos, couldn´t you change the plugin so it downloads the file and then it back showing if possible a download bar ?

like loading....

With 50 or 80% start playing ?

Or let us choose what resolution of video to download ? So low band users can download smaller trailers ?

No not much. I looked at yours and TimmyT files, nothing strange in the logs. Tryed to run MP with your mediaportal.xml and i can watch the trailers without any problems. Same goes for TimmyT's mediaportal.xml.

My guess is that the problem isn't with MP but with Windows Media Player. Have you looked at Dman's post?
No streaming of content with WMP & My Trailers
Its a long-shot, but maybe it will fix your problems also.

Also i came across this post:

If i have "use overlays" unchecked then the trailers work fine in MP but not in MP i get a black screen, but i do get sound, and you aren't getting any sound either, i assume.

BTW did you try to reinstall Windows Media Player?

Dman's post is about the suggestion you gave me in your earlier post:
'Have a look at the log and look for the mms:// reference
copy the URL and then paste that into WMP and see if it plays".
As I let you know earlier it plays well.

The post about the Black screen problem doesn't solve the problem.

Reinstalling WMP doesn't solve the problem.
