Been using MP 2.3 for awhile now I have upgraded my computer to the current list, my problem is when watching live TV it will completely lock up the computer makes it unresponsive I whave to reset it. Now this is totally random on when it happens it can lock up after 30 mins or it may take a day and a half. I tried searching perhaps it was because of having a dual core CPU but was not able to find anything and I've tried some other ways to have MP only use one CPU but would have to thrash the MP installation and start over just looking for some help on this the only way I can have MP not lock up the computer is to go to another section ie. MyVideos and press the stop button on my remote to stop the TV service.

The only thing i found on xp with a x2 processor was stuttering video solved by amd's dual core optimizer, so not your problem.

Could it be heat related, as MP running will raise temperatures, especially if playing HD video.

Not sure it's heat related as the computer would shut itself off before it got too hot. Right now I have it using the WinTV to see if it does the same or not.

Had WinTV running for a few days no problem started MP went to LiveTV lasted less then a day so something is causing MP to freeze the computer, it's not a heat issue either. Any ideas are much appreciated.

I know its a pain, but RC2 is not that far away, and there are a few critical issues fixed there, your logs are not complete, ie no TVServer logs, this is corrected in svn and of course RC2, so we may be better able to see what is failing, just do not think its worth mucking around again for a short period of time.

    Regards

I'll wait for RC2 and check it out to see if it fixes my issue.
