error description:
1. start mediaportal in fullscreen mode
2. Record a show. Doesn't matter how the recording is started (pre schedules or manual "Record Now" with either choice (show or until stopped).
3. When the filesize of a show being recorded reaches approx 4Gb on a FAT32 filesystem, recording stops, TV stops and the "No Signal" dialog box comes up.

I've installed and run TestTool, and will record a 2 hour show overnight. That should cause the problem and I'll attach TestTool output tomorrow.

    Hi,
You should convert the drive to NTFS (4gb it's the Fat32 limitation for a file).

    Regards

Thank-you. I was considering doing just that.

What then is most helpful to the dev team then? Should I report it as a bug, consider it a known issue, make a feature suggestion posting or...?

    Hi,
This it's a windows file limitation & on the other side a MP problem, that the error isn't handled in a proper way & yes it is a known issue in both old engine & new TVE3. Most ppl running xp & above should(are already using) use ntfs so there it is not a bug, only in Fat32.
Since you already have posted in bug forum, it is also spotted by others, we'll have to see if anything it's done in this direction.....

    Regards
    Roy
