MyTVSeries - Plugin that organizes TV Video Files (2 Viewers)

Should I implement an automatic file organizer to move and rename files?

Hi the importing now works briliantly :)

    RESPECT :)

Is it possible f there are multiple files of the same episode wiht a different name, could u have the parser ignore the files ?

I have files which are on a linux network disk to which a lot of people can add files, with a virtual directory, so somtinmes duplicates exist of a episode with a different filename or just a different size.

Could u perhaps also look a per serie update button in the plugins configuration so one can update a serie individually ?

 You are one quick programmer!! This blows away the same type of plugin that exists on Meedio. Your importing and RegEx are just down right wicked...Got this up and running in like 5 mins whereas I played around with Meedio's plugin for about 2 weeks before I got it going th way I liked it.

Earlier on you asked about doing a video thumbnail. The guy who did the video thumbnailer for Meedio used mplayer as a backend/player for the videos. You'd set the time frame you want (eg 10 mins in) and then he would call mplayer with some command line arguments to take a "screenshot". Not sure how you'd go about doing it in MP...Just getting my system setup, not quite ready to jump in and start developing just yet (kinda rusty on that..it's been a while and I do mostly Unix now a days).

    WeeTodd,

When i load 0.29 version, under the configuration tab all i get is a blank screen, how do i add new paths and so on ?

The configuration tab will be for the Torrent Downloader and overall configuration of the plugin (options that aren't there yet). Once, the base of the plugin works flawlessly, options will be added.

All the import options have been added to a new GUI shown when you press the import button.

Sounds like a good idea. But let me wrap up some stuff first.

That is so funny... I just figured out how to do it 10 Minutes ago. I will be implementing this option shortly.

I have posted the source codes and binaries of version 0.30a of this plugin here.

I have cleaned up the import functionality and have added many options that people were asking for (i.e. Skip duplicate filesetc). The import can now be done without the plugin asking any questions.

Here is a screenshot of the import dialog:

I still need to do alot of work on the Import functionality on the MP GUI side of things... Here is the list
    - Get the freaking cancel button to cancel.
    - make the progess bar move
    - simplify the log information
