MyTVSeries - Plugin that organizes TV Video Files (1 Viewer)

Should I implement an automatic file organizer to move and rename files?

Showing Images

I believe this has been asked before. If there are thumbnails in the same directory as the video file, can you pick it up and use that as the image to show? I have a bunch of thumbnails from the Meedio Thumbnailer that match the video name. It'd be nice if I can get those picked up without manually entering them (I am sooooo lazy).

Is this the plan when you release the code with the thumnailer?

Thanks!

    wee, hey there.

Could you please not include the empty database when you release updates. I just accidently deleted my DB by allowing winrar to unzip with the folder structure. This way only the code and not the data thats already there gets updated.

Hmm - do I really need to comment on this Inker?

Umm, please do. Dont really get what you mean?

Perhaps just don't unzip the database stored in the zip file - easy as that...

hmm, something I would find very useful is a toggle button which shows/hides episodes that´s in certain season but is not on harddrive.
it´s really great to be able to see when the next episode is released!
I added this functionality to the plugin as a test for me to understand how mp-plugins work, but it´s not a very nice solution...
    keep up the great work!

I just wanted to mention something that might be no-brainer...
My Tivo desktop app downloads files using the naming convention -
Series - ''Episode'' (Date, Station, Channel).TiVo [BTW, those are two single quotes. Ugh!]
    As in -
Lost - ''One of Them'' (Recorded Feb 15, 2006, WABCDT).TiVo

I found the error. It seems that the database technology used in MP doesn't like 2 single quotes. I have fix this issue in version 0.29a and up.

Oh yeah.. Here is your regular expression you need for you TIVO files:

    (?<series>[^$]*) - \'\'(?<title>[^$]*)\'\'

You'll have to add it yourself to your database, or you can delete your database, and it will automatically be added when it gets re-created.

Sorry life got busy and I haven't a chance to follow up...
Thanks for the regex! I came up with something pretty similar but I had used Renamer to remove the quotes on a few test files and still got what appeared to be the same error. I was wondering if it was because Season and Episode were defaulting to -1, but ran out of time while I was stepping through.
I'll try again with the latest version over the weekend. Thanks sooo much for a great plugin!!

We were going to be a little more ambitious with the look of the plugin, but those controls (the layout, using images as buttons, and so forth) aren't yet available in Media Portal. These were put aside for a while due to time constraints, hence the current interface.
