Should I implement an automatic file organizer to move and rename files?

Any status update so far on the re-designed plugin?

Just thought I better give everyone an update on the progress.

I've finally got a stable SGML parser for parsing well formed as well as pathetically written HTML.

It's not fully tested yet but early signs are it's working great with episodeworld and tv.com

I have only to implement the series list parsing. Show searching, Show summary, Episode summary and images are all working.

    not long now.

I'll post a new url for app download. This release won't include source code it's far from optimised. Let me clean it up a little before code release. ;)

Hey, just logged in to see how things were going. I am still way to busy to continue this for now. However, let me know if you need any help....

    Release

    So !

Download the dlls and required resources here:

    http://www.samige.com.au/MyTVSeries/MyTVSeries.zip

This release brings the first of many using the new site independent parsing engine which has been the bane of my existence for the past several weeks.

I'm happy to say the engine now successfully parses HTML from episodeworld and TV.com.

The engine is far from complete. At least it works!

    Instructions:

Put the two dlls in the plugins/windows directory and the MyTVSeries folder as a subdirectory of the above folder.

This is a precompiled version using SVN from the start of May it works on the latest SVN release too.

Whilst the engine now successfully parses my 20 odd series the following known issues exist.

    * Special events and miniseries may not parse correctly or at all. Currently they are added to Season 0. I'll work on fixing the structures and tree display to correctly handle these.

    * Error handling is minimal. I would suggest backing up databases regularly until the engine becomes what I would consider stable (you've been warned)

    * Shows with an apostrophe (') in the title will reprompt during an import. I believe this carries over from previous builds but I will address it.

    * Thumbnails do not cover all four (I believe) thumbnail types on TV.com this means some shows will not contain their thumbnail images automatically. Banner images should work correctly!

    * Shows which have been redone (think Battlestar Galactica) currently do not display the year of release only the show's title. This makes it difficult to select the correct item during search.

    * Sadly the full file path update will not be included in this release. I've gone with the existing file parser so that I could focus on the html parsing engine.

Good luck and backup often. ;)

just loaded all my tv series into it with no problems - however, when i tried to launch mp i realized there was no skin xml file in your zip file. was this accidently left out? :p

anyway - the importer worked like a dream!

    Has the original link broken?

I'll grab the other resources and upload them after touch footy.

    Sorry for the oversight.
