Should I implement an automatic file organizer to move and rename files?

    Hi Glith

If you like this style to name your files you should keep it. Perhaps an option to select which style you want could be implemented, it could take some time. Wait for Saltys feedback, what he thought about.

If you rename your files and this feature would be implemented you will beat you if your renamed a hundred of files. ;)

    regards

Some seasons start with episode 1 and some have a running number... How should I solve that?
TV.Com uses a running number episodeworld starts with 1. Which standard should we use? Currently all my shows uses a running number.

    Example below
    (tv.com version):
    Series s01e01
    Series s01e02
    Series s01e03
    Series s02e04
    Series s02e05
    Series s03e06

    (episodeworld version):
    Series s01e01
    Series s01e02
    Series s01e03
    Series s02e01
    Series s02e02
    Series s03e01

episodeworld also has a column which is "#" in addition to episodenumber and that is the running number.

The plugin doesnt find my episodes since I have a running number. Do I have to rename the files, again? Or is there any other solution? It is hard since the different webpages uses different numbering. Which is more correct? TV.com or episodeworld? I have seen a few other pages use running numbers as well..

Even the people releasing the shows I'm watching is using running numbers. :-/

The best imho would to be using tv.com's running number which also can be found in episodeworld("#"). Then they use the same standard. Or at least have the option in this excellent plugin.

    www.tvtome.com used to use
    Series s01e01
    Series s01e02
    Series s01e03
    Series s02e01
    Series s02e02
    Series s03e01

then it got bought by cnet i think and now its tv.com and its now number in a different way that i dont like because it hard to find wich episode is witch

    Hi,

This is a bit off topic but wonder if anyone can help, I'm using this plugin with the BlueTwo 1280x720 Skin, but when I do it doesn't have the series banners displayed. If I copy the file from my old Bluetwo skin it has it but in the wrong page size.

Just wondered if anyone had a copy of the skin for BlueTwo 1280x720 with the banner working?

    Thanks

    Jay

For the life of me I can't get the simple expressions to work. My files are in the following format:
X:\TV\Lost\02\01 - Man of Science, Man of Earth.avi

Here is the simple expression i am using:
    \<series>\<season>\<episode> - <title>

When i click test i get all blanks in the columns. yes, i have the enable simple expression parser selected.

    Can anyone help me?

RegEx doesn't work either. I get the following error:

    ---
System.FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format.
at System.Number.StringToNumber(String str, NumberStyles options, NumberBuffer& number, NumberFormatInfo info, Boolean parseDecimal)
at System.Number.ParseInt32(String s, NumberStyles style, NumberFormatInfo info)
at System.Int16.Parse(String s, NumberStyles style, NumberFormatInfo info)
    at System.Convert.ToInt16(String value)
    at WindowPlugins.GUITVSeries.ImportVideo.ProcessFile(String VideoFile)
    ---

I have no idea what i could be doing wrong.

It's possible that the comma "," in the episode name has some thing to do with your problem.

It's always a good idea to isolate one file in a folder and check what happens when importing it - use one with a simple file name like: lost.1x1 - lost and found.avi

None of my files have the episode title in the file name, because of that punctuation doesn’t mess up the import.

Ok, so i decided to just rename all of my tv episodes and use RegEx. When I test it all of the values seem to good, but when i actually click start I get the following error:

Failed to locate assembly 'SgmlReaderDll, Version=1.6.2195.24675, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'. Not that the configuration program must be executed from/reside in the MediaPortal folder, the execution will now end.

I really want to be able to use this plugin. Can someone help?
