    I have another request :D

Would it be possible to use MAC addresses instead of IP addresses for the client (and possibly server) ini files, and then use arp to get the IP address? My solution fell apart last week, when my DHCP router decided to give my client a new IP address. Took me a while to realise the server could not find the client because it had the wrong IP address.

I don't think, that this is a reasonable change. Next time you change your motherboard or network card, you have the same problem. Use a fixed IP-Address instead of DHCP.

I dont use static IP's, i simply give every PC a reserved IP based on mac address. This means if any settings ever change its all automatically updated, but every PC and other device always retains the same IP. Do this in your router config.

You have to kill the nasserver process with pskill. Put this command in your batchfile:
    pskill \\computer -u [username] -p [password] nasserver.exe

And put the batchfile in the same folder like Nasclient?
There are already a pskill and pslist exe.

    hi,

i just tried your software but my client could not communicate with my server, even if the firewall is disabeld. if i try to execute the command "psexec.exe \\192.168.0.1 -u nicx -p xxxxx -w d:\software\nas\server nasserver.exe" manually i get the following error:

    ---------------
PsExec v1.97 - Execute processes remotely
    Copyright (C) 2001-2009 Mark Russinovich
    Sysinternals - www.sysinternals.com

PsExec could not start nasserver.exe on 192.168.0.1:
Das System kann die angegebene Datei nicht finden.
    ------------------

the path to the nasserver.exe in the ini file is correct. what should i do?

    thanks,
    nicx...

    enable adminshare.

Nimm den Haken bei Einfacher Dateifreigabe weg, dann sollte es klappen.
