native playback formats? (1 Viewer)

My intent is to replace my xbox 360 extenders and WMC system with MediaPortal and some Intel NUC clients. All my movies today are in WMV HD format so they play optimally (no re-encoding) and full 5.1 surround sound. What format or formats does MediaPortal play natively without having to encode the video as it plays back?

Welcome to Media Portal!
As far as I know all common formats are supported incl. WMV. MP2 even can handle old recordings from WMC natively.
But I have to admmit, that I couldn't find a list of supported formats in wiki. I think this is something to be added.
