Synopsis::

Nebula DigiTV PCI Card not detected.
Error message:
MediaPortal Settings
No video capture card(s) were found, you won't be able to configure a capture card
I have uninstalled DigiTV, removed the DigiTV drivers and installed latest BDA drivers from Nebula.

the latest BDA drivers require you to edit the "captuecards.xml" file... as they are not natively detected.

if you use the previous version of teh BDA drivers then it will be autodetected without any editting.

if you use the latest SVN build then you won't need to edit anything as i believe they have incorporated the new BDA drivers into it.

otherwise, you will need to explore the support notes on the MP site to see what you need to do or just use the previous version of the BDA drivers.

If you are using th latest NEBULA pci bda drivers then you will need to edit the CaptureCardDefinitions.xml and add or edit the following as NEBULA have changed the name of their BDA drivers and added the 'PCI' to make them different to their recently released USB drivers.

<capturecard commercialname="Nebula DigiTV PCI" capturename="Nebula DigiTV PCI BDA Capture Filter" devid="ven_109e&dev_0878&subsys_01010071&rev_11">
<capabilities tv="true" radio="false" mpeg2="true" mce="false" sw="false" bda="true"/>
<tv>
<interface cat="capture" video="2" audio="3" mpeg2="1" sectionsandtables="5"/>
<filters>
<filter cat="networkprovider" name="Microsoft DVBT Network Provider" checkdevice="false"/>
<filter cat="tunerdevice" name="Nebula DigiTV PCI BDA Tuner Filter" checkdevice="true"/>
<filter cat="capture" name="Nebula DigiTV PCI BDA Capture Filter" checkdevice="true"/>
</filters>
<connections>
<connection sourcefilter="networkprovider" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="tunerdevice" sinkpin="0"/>
<connection sourcefilter="tunerdevice" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="capture" sinkpin="0"/>
</connections>
</tv>
</capturecard>

That fixed it - thanks SciDoctor. Card detected and channels all scanned in a prompt manner.
New problem - now when I go to view full screen, all I get is a blank/black screen (audio is still okay). This is with My TV, haven't tested DVD, Movies etc. Will look for a solution when I get home tonight.
Thanks,
Steve

What graphics card are you using and which codecs in MP.

If your Graphics card has less than 128MB of memory then you could easily run out of memory if any other apps are using it at the same time as MP.

Try runing MP in windowed mode, this uses less memory and can show if all works fine first.

Codecs can be trial and error, it is best to try the inbuilt MPA and DSCALER ones first and then try others like ATI's, NV and powerdvd etc.

NEVER try the SVN releases unless you have full understanding of how MP works and sets up on your machine.

Stick with the first 0.2.0.0 stable release (avoid 0.2.0.4 stable release as I have found it less than stable)

0.2.0.4 seems to be stable for me (with my config anyway)
