need help for slave tv server install, and diseqc not working (1 Viewer)

hello

i had some trouble with my previous instalation (mediaportal 1.2.1 if i remember)
so i maked a new one with 2 servers

i had some strange probleme, i was unable to watch hdtv channel, it was glitching, video looks corrupt
i searched why,
the signal from sat was good enougth, codec was ok too, network ok too
after that i defragmented the hard drive, i thought i was resolved but afer 15-20 min watching it goes crazy again

i had olso some diseqc problem, the diseqc did it never very good with mediaportal but it was working mostly

2 with diseqc 4 lnb "maximum high iso switch"
i have an knc dvb-s2 (diseq did work mostly normaly)
and an omicom dvb-s2 (harder to switch , sometime i have to try 2 or 3 times,i had to move to a channel from an other satelite and come back to the desired one, and repet if needed
with bda driver under windows 2003 server

the lnb3 on the omicom didn't work from longer time, so i thought the problem was outside, humidity or something like that in my cables or in the diesqc
and sometime had trouble on lnb one


but now none of the diesqc are working

so i deside to clean all, remove the 2 diseqc put one cable on astra 19

i tried to upgrad the computer to win7 but no luck, computer too old , was not stable
i olso suspected maybe the power suply was faulty

so i change the computer under windows 7 (so it s ready for mp2)

but still no luck for the diesqc, none of them is working

i decided to test them with dvbdream, i tested astra 19 cable on the 4 input , and one the 2 diesqc
all input did it ok

but in mediaportal it s not working anymore
when i last use for exemple input 3 with dvbdream and close it
back to mediaportal then only input 3 is working and not able to switch to anther one


i olso want to use an other tv server with my nova stik usb dvb-t
beacuse antena cable is too long for the master server and the signal is to weak on one frequency i need
and i alredy have 2 antenna with one preamplifier at maximum with an good cable

so i decide to put my segond server close to the antennas, and i had already a computer there for my wireless long range antenna

i installed mediaportal 1.2.3 (uninstalled msql, because i did a master install first) and notice i did it wrong

so after i uninstalled the msql

start the tv server configuration, it asked me wath msql server using, so i put ip of the master server named "tv_serveur"

all fine , tv service start

but now i have some trouble because i only see the master server in the list in tv servers on the 2 computers

so what it still wrong ? no slave ?

if is stop the tv service on the 2 computers, and start the slave first , it say me that "tv_serveur" is not reachable use "wifi3" (slave computer) in instead ?
i put yes
than i can see wifi3 in tv server list (become the master)

i start tv service on the master "tv_serveur" but than i only see wifi3 as master

so i can choose one or the other but not the 2 ?
what must i do to have wifi3 in slave ?

DiSEqC 1.0 with KNC tuners should work; I'm not so sure about Omicom. Please post your log files so that I can have a look:
1. Open TV Server configuration.
2. Click "open log directory" in the top left corner.
3. Zip up the tv.log and error.log.
4. Attach the zip file here.

start the tv server configuration, it asked me wath msql server using, so i put ip of the master server named "tv_serveur"

all fine , tv service start

Master+slave is not supported - apparently it was unstable/unreliable, so was disabled in the code. You must choose one or the other.

There doesn't seem to be any obvious problem with sending DiSEqC commands for the KNC tuner. The Omicom tuner is not sending DiSEqC commands at all - MP TV Server does not yet support DiSEqC for Omicom tuners.

You seem to be testing only with manual scans, so I am struggling to figure out which satellites are on each port:
port 1 = Astra 28.2E or Hotbird 13E?
port 2 = ?
port 3 = Eutelsat 5W?
port 4 = ?

When you scan, I strongly recommend that you set the inner FEC rate. Also, if you're scanning DVB-S2 transponders use modulation "QPSK" for DVB-S2 QPSK and "8 PSK" for DVB-S2 8 PSK.

i use manual scan, so i scan only what i need and after each scan i delete the channel i don't need, to keep database smal and faster
and olso automatic scan on omnicom is not working it does crazy stuff


i tested the scan on all ports because maybe i reversed some cables when puting the 2 diesq back, but cableare at good place

the knc is
port 1 = Hotbird 13E?
port 2 = Astra 19 E
port 3 = Astra 23 E
port 4 = Astra 28 E

omicom
port 1 = eutelsat 9E
port 2 = Astra 19 E
port 3 = Eutelsat 5W

i can do it but it did autodetect it in the past so i asume it still working now

i don't know if there is a driver update because last time i cheeked the website was dead


is there a way to enable slave server? and use it at my onw risk

Hmmm, that is not good. If there is a problem then we would like to fix it! Have you got any logs to show this? Also, have you tried using the "DVBS" network provider instead of the generic one (see "preferred network provider" - http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/1_...ation/TV-Server_Configuration/02_TV_Servers)?

MediaPortal has never specifically supported DiSEqC for Omicom tuners. Right now there are definitely no commands being sent, so I can guarantee that it will not work. It is possible that an older driver might work using a generic DiSEqC method. Also, I think the KNC driver uses the same DiSEqC method as Omicom... but I don't recommend using the KNC driver for the Omicom card (it could cause damage).

I recommend this because not all tuners support autodetect, and if you ever added a new tuner that did not support it then you would need to rescan all your channels.

As above - we have never specifically supported Omicom tuners, but an older driver might work.

i tried with dvbdream, there it is still working

i update the log

so i starded a channel on lnb 4 (astra28) and move to a channel from lnb1 hotbird
is see in "manual control" after i switch channel, timeshifting don't stop on first channel and than after a few second it say program/channel not found than timeshit stop

I don't think it is necessarily the DiSEqC that is the problem - if it were the DiSEqC then you should get a "no signal" error. "Program/channel not found" is a PMT error... and in this case it probably means that data is not flowing through the graph. Please try using the DVBS network provider instead of the generic one as mentioned earlier. We've already found that is necessary for the KNC DVB-S2 Twin, so it wouldn't surprise me if it is necessary for their other tuners too.

if found olways the same channels, no mater what transponder it scan , maybe it s a driver fault because after that if i start the omicom in dvbdream and it don't work anymore
