Hi
The plugin looks very promising but I seem to make a mistake or forget something during config Or I make some error in using the plugin:confused:

I followed the wiki:
Configuring Bluray and HDDVD playback - Moving Pictures
And I try it with Arcsoft.
I DID:
# Open the mediaportal configuration
# Go to Plugins -> Moving Pictures
# Click CONFIG to open the plugin configuration
# Now go to About -> Advanced Settings
# Mediaportal GUI -> Bluray/HD-DVD Playback
# Set "Use External Player" to "true"

Then I Start MP.

Now I select "MY Video"
and I browse to the folder Where the movies are stored.
I open the folder containing the movie and I see only one subfolder :"BDMV"
when I enter this folder I see:
4 folder:
Backup
CLIPINF
PLAYLIST
STREAM

There are two more files in the folder that MP will not show:
index.bdmv
MovieObject.bdmv

Pressing the play button does not start the movie.
I also tried with adding the BDMV extension to the extensions for video playback so I can see those files en select them but then MP tells it cannot play the file..

I know my arcsoft player is working OK:
when I open the folder in arcsoft and press play the movie starts normal with menu and everything else.

There must be something that I missed during config but I seem to mis it every time I try it again:confused:

Could anyone help me with this??

I think you are misunderstanding the Bluray support in Moving Pictures. Moving Pictures does not nor is it intended to add Bluray support to other MediaPortal features like MyVideos. The Bluray support in Moving Pictures will only work when browsing your collection via the Moving Pictures interface. Have you tried opening the Bluray movie through Moving Pictures itself rather than MyVideos?

Hi fforde, THanks!!!

Sorry yes I have been misunderstanding the integration.

When I go to plugins I an start the plugin correctly after I added a local folder in the moving pictures config in the movie importer
I must say This realy looks great! with all the movie info.

But How do I browse just the folders?

Now I cannot see the folder that I want to play as it is not recognized by the importer...
Sorry I feel a bit silly in this:confused:

Moving Pictures is a "database view" of your movies rather than a "folder view". So your movies are organized and categorized based on the metadata about the movie rather than where it's located on your hard drive. The menuing (categories) system is however completely customizable so it is very possible to setup a menu that mimics your file folders.

If your movie is not showing up in your movie list though, this could be because of several things. You may need to add a specific extension to the list of valid movie types. Or the folder your movie is in may not be in one of the import paths you have defined. Also it may be possible the movie was found but Moving Pictures wasn't able to find a definitive match from online movie details. In that case you just need to either rescan the file (the binoculars button) and/or manually pick the correct movie from the drop down in the movie importer.

If this doesn't help post more details and maybe we can narrow down the issue.

Hi FForde

Thanks again for your your answer.
I will try this weekend.

Some of the movies might not show up in the database at all.
At least it is not found.

I know the title of the movie so I can try to find it in the drop down
