Please don't take my word for it. I could be right; I could be wrong. I think you should test with the web interface first, because there's no point testing in other applications that have the same limitations as TV Server until you know TV Server should work. What is it that you don't understand? This has been explained ad nauseum in so many other forums and websites. ;) "Copy once" means the streams are protected by digital rights management (DRM) which is designed to prevent content from being shared illegally. The tuner will not stream any channel that is copy-once protected to any software or device that has not been certified to comply with the DRM restrictions. MediaPortal and TV Server have not and probably never could be certified. First, because even getting access to the technical information required to implement the DRM scheme generally costs several thousand dollars (which we don't have); second, it generally costs tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars (which we definitely don't have) to get certified; thirdly and lastly, because TV Server is open source. Why is open source a problem? Because generally certification requires certain code or information to be kept secret, which is basically impossible when your code is meant to be publicly available. Further, if the code is publicly available, anybody could modify it to circumvent any restrictions that were put in place. WMC is currently the only PC software that is certified for channels that have been marked copy-once. All other software - MediaPortal, SageTV, MythTV, N-PVR... - can only receive channels that have been marked copy-freely (which basically means "no restrictions"). Unlikely. If the channels are marked copy-once then Ceton won't be able to help you. You'd have to take the issue to your cable company... but good luck with that. You could rant at your cable company for years, but they won't listen to the 0.0001% of their subscribers who use CableCARDs. Especially when the big-money content owners are threatening to tear up license agreements if channels are not copy-once protected. I'll be happy to help with a capture card if you can describe the problem and post log files. Regards, mm
