Hi, this is a common question, I know, but I cant find (or really describe my problem when I search) any sollution to my problem.
I have bought a new card, FloppyDTV and swedish Comhem provider and I have a strange problem with my picture quality. The picture is really clear and sharp but when it comes to any fast movements it seems not be fast enought. Its hard to describe but it feels like its not live tv (a little bit slow) and I get some pain in my eyes after a while. Its allmost like a little fuzziness in the picture.
Im using Cyberlink Video/SP decoder (PDVD7) decoder as my MPEG2 video decoder and Cyberlink Audio decoder for the sound. I have no other filters active and using default settings everywhere.

I dont know if its the Micro stuttering (judder) that pnyberg is talking about in this thread I don't know what it is, micro stuttering, but it sounds like my problem

I have tried with ATI HD2x00 tweaks to.

    Hi Nybbe67!
    Some ideas...
Try to set your video card to 50Hz, 75Hz or 100Hz.
Try a different codec, such as Nvidia.

The PureVideo codec is outdated. If you want to try other DXVA-able (is that a word) codecs, you could try Intervideo or AVIVO, found here -> AMD GAME! Drivers and Utilities (free).

I agree with tompa: 50 Hz is the way to go. If this is impossible 100 or 75 (in that order) is the way to go. My guess is that picture might be sufficated to lack of 1:1 pixelmapping (to much scaling being done). What resolution are you using?

    why is that?

Because it does not now supply HW acceleration with xp, crazy as it sounds nvidia have not updated to work correctly with it's later drivers.

Avivi, Cyberlink PDVD7, not so sure about WindVD all have DXVA\HW acceleration.

I cannot find an AVIVO Video Decoder at the link - it is probably staring me in the face, but I am damned if I can find it ...

I can find the AVIVO Encoder, but no Decoder - is that what you are referring to?

If you DL the "pack", and install it, you can select AVIVO in MP config :)

Reg. "Outdated" PureVideo: I can't find the info/threads where I found this, but I remember reading it somewhere ... at least PD can confirm this.

Tested Vivio and it works here! Should there be a audio decoder in this package?

I should try it also tonight! I think that I get a more stable picture with 50 Hz, it was 60 hz. I can choose from 50, 59(?) and 60 hz.
