need some advice (1 Viewer)

Hi guys I have MP RC1 and everytime I try to play a video, well not everytime just sometimes I hit the play button on my remote MP minimzes in the system tray. I have to get up and double click it from the system tray then MP starts and and then I can play my video. Can anyone tell me what is going on?

I once saw that it happened when playing in fullscreen and MP looses focus.
Maybe you can try the general setting "Always on top".
If this does not work you should post your logs, maybe someone will then be able to help you.

Ok I changed it to "always on top" but now it minimzes and then come right back up again. How can a post my log here?

Use MPTesttool from the start menu to generate logs, then use the advanced + feature to upload and attach them to your post.

Is one of your codecs set to show a icon in the systray, this can cause this (divx or ffdshow), if so just disable.

How do I tell if it is or not?

Turn off the 'always on top option for a bit -> make it minimize -> look down near the clock, you'll see the ffdshow or Divx icons there (click the arrow if you hide icons)
Right click them and use the options to turn the icons off - don't forget to "aways on top" MP again
