Five things that have been bugging me with MP:
1. Why isn't there more of a push to make an option for storing the ratings in new ID3 tags? I don't know that much about programming, but wouldn't it be less dangerous if it is specified that the (RATING) tag is the only one being altered? shouldn't enabling ID3 rating change at least be made an option? When I listen to music, I want to be able to rate the songs as I hear them, and not have to change their ratings again in foobar. Why isn't this implemented? will it be?
2. My music structure is Music/Artist/[no-album tracks][album/tracks] But in MP the only way I can see both singles and albums under Artists is in the "Shares" view. Is there any way to change that so I could view two tag fields at once w/o "shares"? Alternatively, is there any way to modify the "shares" view like I can do with "artist" or "album" and change the "ViewAs" settings?
3. How could I create views of "Recently Played" or even look at the view-count of a track?
4. There should be (am I missing it?) an option to enable a view of just the library and the playlist properties. i.e. no. of tracks, total length of tracks.
5. It would be nice to have more options when customizing browsing preferences. I would like to be able to set a default view for music where it only displays the artists as icons on one side (4 columns of icons) and on the other side it shows the album art (very large view) of selected tracks along with track info.
Is there any way to fix some of these issues? I still am not fully familiar with MP but I am trying to be. I hope MP2 will address might address this stuff. Thanks in advance!
