Optional References: /

Synopsis: When trying to start any external Program from within the myPlugins Menu it gives me an error about "Writing in Protected Memory" (full msg will be handed in later) It seems like it has something to do with MP´s remote function. I´m using the remote delivered with the hauppauge PVR 350 . When switching the remote off in MP-Setup everythings fine. This appears in rc3 and also in the snapshot from the 17th of April.
I tried already upgrading the pvr remote software but it still gives me the same error. Also a complete reinstall of MP didn´t change anything.
Any help is welcome

    Hi welkin

Yes various problems with the hauppage remote and .net conflicts.
if you scroll down the bugs you will find a few. its on the to do list.
unless hauppage rewrite their remote driver.

the fact that it worked in rc2 lets me hope :)
i'm sorry but i can't reproduce the error msg because trying to fix this by installing different driver versions messed up my whole windows :) but it was similiar to the one posted in this thread https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/viewtopic.php?t=14416
if nothing helps and the bug still exists in 0.0.2.0 would it be possible to release a patch so that the remote part of MP would be "downgraded" to rc2 ? because my whole MP is useless with this bug ;/

I just wanted to say that this issue still exists in rc4 and also in the latest rc4 snapshot from 4-22-2006 16:38
i hope this is on a high rank on your todo list because without this being fixed mp useless for me ;/
if anyone got a workaround for this pls contact me

    thanks i getting closer :)
first everythings seemed fine and the error msg is disappeared but now Project 64 (which i start from the MP Menu) crashes. Sometime with this error :
    Code:
    Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
    Runtime Error
    Program Project64.exe
    R6025
    - pure Virtual Function Call
And sometimes without any error msg
in rc2 all worked pretty well so i hope you'll also find a solution for this
thanks anyway for this fast support

Sorry, that's nothing I could fix. Something must be screwed on your system that makes this behaviour occur.
