Wow, that's cool. Did not get that, cause you were all talking about movies...

ok, here is the plot under the Picture.

I think this is less cool because:

    1. CD covers will be even smaller as they are more square, so less high.
    2. Even smaller will be "landscape" pictures
    3. As it will still be "just" a small info panel I don't think we need to show the complete plot.
Maybe we should even limit to not show the plot @ all. If you want it, you should simply press F3.

    That is cool:

My pictures: The new view could be used to display the photo plus the most important exif informations like (date, shutter, exposure time...) (Aufnahmedatum, Blende, Belichtungszeit, etc.)
That would be great. I allready thought about making a sketch of a possible layout, but this seems perfect.
F3 could be used to display the full information of all exif information.
->guess u know that a lot of information is saved within the picture of digital cameras.

-> and remember, I posted all the necessary code in C# to retrieve this information from the picture and throw it out to xml (which seems not to be trivial). Only thing is, I still wait for a volunteer to look at the code and adapt it to mp ...

Still hoping a programmer jumbs on it :)

see also the thread under feature requests. (search for exif)

    Ok another idea here:

    filmstrip3.jpg

The idea is that you scroll sideways and the middle one gets bigger.
All these shots are rough cuts and will get details like Arrows showing wether or not more pics are to the left and right. Also usable to scroll using touchscreen.

tomtom, yes. The idea is indeed to show exif data in my pictures there.

    1. "under" looks not so stylish as on the right side.
    2. don´t show plot. I bet in the 3 or 4 lines is often text that does not help much to get the content of the film. And then there is F3
    3. Make the info on the right in bigger font size (like the text of the plot)
    4. maybe add some of the actors. There is space for the first 3 or 4 actors of the cast and this is also one (me) likes to know. Seems more valuable then a little fragment from the plot.

    How about:
    another_filmstrip.jpg

It seems to give a bit more room for text info. But I don't know how convenient vertical navigation would be. It might be good for Music since the CD covers are more square.

PS: It's about the layout, so please forgive my painting skillz
