Thanks i didnt know it was the same scripts as AMCUpdater

EDIT: How does the fanart management works? As a fanart dir i put the same as MovingPictures so that i dont have duplicates. Yet MyFilms doesnt seem to be using the same name conventions.
Can we download fanart from Mp directly?

would it be possible to have it pick up the fanart art by IMDB number instead? It should be more precise this way and the fanart will always display even if we alter the title of the movie.

Please, think about users who don't use IMDB !!!
That plugin isn't base on IMDB but on AMC and a great functionality of that software is to be open : you can choose with AMC scripts on which site you grab informations. So if you don't use IMDB, you don't have the unique IMDB number for your movies...

If you have many pictures for a Films (Covers, Fanart, Pictures...) you can display it thru the plugin.
On the detail screen, there is a button. By clicking on it, you can display pictures found and decide if you want to choose a particular one as cover or as fanart.
Pictures are search by Movie filename. The item found can be a folder containing all pictures of a film or a picture itself.
Ex :
For Movie Matrix, picture can be :

• in a folder name Matrix (under the path given in the setup for Picture search path); In that case, all pictures of the folder are loaded wathever their names :
  • Matrix\image1.bmp
  • Matrix\photo5.jpg
  • Matrix\photo6.jpg
• with name containing the Movie name :
  • matrix1.jpg
  • matrix2.bmp
  • matrix_actor1.jpg

As discussed here earlier about the "Grabber" options. I'm not sure what to do...

I have beginned to use AMC Updater (0.8.0) With MyFilms (4.7.3) And this works pretty good (Besides having problems playing iso files, but thats proberly some codec error)

But then i read about this new feature -For myFilms to be able to autoupdate the database from my movie folder..
But then i'm not sure what to setup and what not to?

Grabber option first > Grabber used, Grabber file (Is this my database file?)
AMC Updater options > AMC Updater used, Amc updater exe, Amc config file (What about the config file, which file is this?)

The Grabber option and AMC Updater option -They are linked right? It's not 2 different programs?

Grabber file isn't your xml database but the xml file parameter for grabbing (URL,search string). For each site, you'll get a parmeter file. Some sites are already written. I link for you those files.

AMC Updater Config file : When you use AMCUpdater, you have to define some parameters (path to scan, database xml file, field to manage....), those parameters are saved into a Config File. The Config file can be passed in batch mode to retrieve all the parameter's values. To have that Config file, launch AMCUpdater in Interacrive mode, fill all parameters as you need and save the Config file (File->Save Config File). Give then in the Setup the Config file created.

grabber is a dll file, and his purpose is to grabb Internet Movie Datas with a parameter file. AMCUpdater use that dll as myfilms to grabb those datas.
grabber is used in MyFilms to update one particular Movie (Key F9 in main screen and button Update on detail).
for a whole database update, MyFilms launch AMCUpdater in batch mode.

You can use as you want the 2 update options or only one or none...

In the xml grabber files are expressions like x002F, x003E, etc. I think they are associated to characters. Is there any list with the associations?

There is a program (Grabber_interface) developped by the same author as the grabber (titofit).
For the moment I think he doesn't want to diffuse the program. But ask to him (I can also developp grabbers files) if you want a particular site.
