Having my upgraded 500 box to Gemini 4.3.1 I'm working on integrating the EPG data from Gemini with the WebEPG data in the MP database. This will extend the overall EPG information and enbale more schedualed recording.

As for other people that found the VLC connection with the 500 box unstable or breaking with some channels, I found that the BitControl.com player does the job much better than VLC. Although it cost ~20EUR, I belive it worth the stability and quality it provides. I may integrate it with MP as a player soon.

thanks for your reply. I will test it tomorrow and will give a reply then.

Generally, do i need to have xmltv installed ? As what i have read, WebEPG it is a different product and works as a standalone tool so it does not need xmltv, or am i wrong ?

Do i need to configure something special inside MP configuration if i don't use an internal tuner card but only the Dbox2 ?

I think i followed your description correctely , kiapiz. Let me explain it with an example for only one channel:

In DreamDbox the channel is displayed as "12 302 ARD".

12 is the Listing number but is the Channel name "302 ARD" or "ARD" ? So i edit TV-Channels under MP-Config and add "ARD" there. Then i start Web_epg-conf, import the channel from MP and map the channel "ARD" from [DE] section.

Then i startup MP-Config again, enable webepg Plugin. Do i have to enter the actualisation time manually all the time ? So i did it once, exiting MP-Config and startup MP but no EPG data is displayed. I also get everytime the message that no TV-Card is installed.

Sorry for my silly questions but tutorials for beginners like me are rare to find...

it's working now

The reason why WebEPG did not ran was that i used the german provider TV-Info. WebEPG did not run with it, then i tried it with TV-Today and it fetched the EPG data.

One thing i have to mention. If recording is busy, i'm not able to enter EPG and cancel it. In this case i get the message "No TV Card installed". Marked recordings which are not busy can be cancelled at any time.

Perhaps somebody can help me.

DreamDbox with MP 1.0

Is it possible to use the DreamDbox Plugin with the new MP1.0? I installed the plugin correctly, but theres no way to stream the tv data, readin the channel list works fine. Is it possible, that in the last release is a little bug with the skin folder file structure, with Blue Two and BlueTwo?

I cant get the bouqet from the reciever as its not located at same place as the old DM 500

Hi all,

does anybody know where I can get a plugin to watch TV streams from my DM7025 with Mediaportal1 RC2? Watching recordings or programming the box is not really interesting for me, I just want to watch TV via LAN.

Hi,

I had to change some of the directory settings, because something changed in the core. On my side the plugin is already working with the RC2. I will update the plugin soon, hopefully this weekend.
