wurde der obrige Fehler bereits im Installer der RC1 korrigiert, oder muss ich die Korrektur selber in der Datei durchführen?

I made this change but it didn't fix it for me. It appears to be not getting the VLC plugin downloaded.

Hi,

have you the vlc plugin installed? When yes, you should see a black box with "waiting for video" and not a clean box.

Test it with: type aboutlugins in adressbar of firefox and see following?
VLC Multimedia Plug-in

Dateiname: npvlc.dll
Version 1.0.4, copyright 1996-2009 The VideoLAN Team
VideoLAN, Free streaming and multimedia solutions for all OS!

or is this plugin not listed?

I've done a standard/default VLC install on both the client and server. However I'm using IE8 and when I check in Tools->Internet Options->Programs->Manage Add-ons I don't see any VLC stuff....
Is it the Server or Client side install which is important here? My understanding was that the server side would download the VLC activeX component to the client.

Habe ich was falsches gesagt? Hat keiner eine Idee warum der Server bei mir nicht gestartet werden kann? Oder braucht Ihr mehr Infos? Welche Infos. Ich wäre echt dankbar wenn sich jemand meiner annimmt, ich würde dieses Interface echt gerne ausprobieren.

also nach der beschriebenen Änderung läuft bei mir der Webserver mit dem LiveTV im FireFox ohne Fehler.
Nur der IE egal ob 7.0 oder 8.0 bringt immer folgende Fehlermeldungen direkt nach dem aktiveren eines Senders :

the VLCFirefox.htm shoul be something like this (attached) for IE8 (tested) and IE7,6 (not tested).

To test for successful implementation of vlc plugin for both ie8 and firefox you can view:

I have inlcude a javascript browserdetection in the VLCFirefox.htm!
I tested it with:
- Firefox 3.5.6
- IE 8.0
- Safari 4.0.3 (531.9.1)
- Opera 10.10 (1893)
and it works fine.
