New Version is up:

- Fixed TvSeries
- Is now a TvServer Plugin
- added rss feeds
- url for streaming is now configurable
- mp db paths are configurable
- Fixed "rec" button in channel epg does nothing

I haven't felt the need to upgrade MP to the latest beta as 1.0.2 has been running so stable for me, but every time I read the latest posts in this thread I keep feeling that urge to be on the bleeding edge....

Your WebServer doesn't allow javascript by any chance?? It would be awesome if you could open streams directly within the webbrowser using an open source flashplayer (like Flowplayer - Flash Video Player for the Web).

All you have to do is provide me the correct parameters for mencoder to transcode ts and .avi to flv

I'm kinda still nooby with all the mencoder stuff but I think I can manage.

p.s.

Just tried latest version and the addition of TV Series is nice but when clicking that I get an configuration error from dotNet. I run 3.5 sp1, as required. Are there any logs I could post, or help out some other way?

Eh well, Dotnet doesn't show me errors from the browser, I've set it up this way, more secure. I run IIS and use dotNet so that's why.

This is a bit weird, I do have Dotnet 3.5 installed (also SP1), it shows under software however in windows logs I have this entry

It's talking about dotnet 2 (at least it's listed in event viewer under application dotnet 2.x.x.x.etc). Now I run IIS 5.1 that comes with XP pro and IIS is configured to use dotnet 2, might be the cause?
If i'm still not supplying the right info please push me in the right direction

Also it might be my setup for whatever particular reason but TV channel listing is empty for me. A suspect for me is ForTheRecord which I use, can you confirm? Does it only work with standard TV server?

So to recap, the most important system specs;
- Win XP SP3, dotnet SP3.5 sp1, IIS 5.1 configured to handle dotnet 2
- ForTheRecord latest (1.4.0.1)
- Listening port changed to 81, restarted tvserver otherwise I couldn't get in, as described in manual part
- IIS listens on 8080, that's why I changed default port

But regarding TvSeries:

Which version of TvSeries are you using.
To be precise: "What is the name of your TvSeries database file"?

Mine is named: "TvSeriesDatabase4.db3"

That seems to be the most recent version

If you use a different version, then it would make sense, that it's not working

The rest of your settings should be fine.
The .NET framework version result of TvServer and the plugin using .NET 2.0 and the web-pages using .NET 3.5
