Hi gemx, great plugin!!!

Your WebServer doesn't allow javascript by any chance?? It would be awesome if you could open streams directly within the webbrowser using an open source flashplayer (like Flowplayer - Flash Video Player for the Web).

Sure, it does allow javascript.

Will check this player.
If this works as expected you don't need anything on the client side besides the browser.

V4 works great here with the VLC plugin for firefox. I guess for a flash player the de-intelacing must be done server side while re-encoding.

One small issue, though. I am allowed to try starting a radio-webstream (which doesn't work). Maybe just relaying the link to the radiochannel would work, otherwise just don't show the webstreams.

Hi again gemx, I never got an answer to my question. How do I change the baseUrl when trying to stream over the internet?
Because now it tries to connect to my local ip-address, I managed to change the Default.aspx.cs:

But in my bat-file theres is two paths showing and the last one is still my local IP.
This is what my bat looks like:
"c:\program files\videolan\vlc\vlc.exe" "http://webserverdns/Streamer.aspx?idChannel=665&idProfile=2" "http://192.168.0.4/Streamer.aspx?idChannel=665&idProfile=2"
Anyway this is pretty much useless since I cant make vlc or ffmpeg transcode my stream(Bug or not supported?), so I hope your next version will support that.

Is this web interface can be used to remotly control the music played by mediaportal ? I mean no streaming, but playing song on the server.

I am currently working on the transcoding as this was (besides the webservices itself) the main reason it developed this

Alpha 5 uploaded.

Transcoding works now fine for me with mencoder (now in htdocs/bin folder).
I created a profile with very small bandwith usage which should be suitable for the most video types.

I just couldn't get mencoder to transcode live-tv

It starts to transcode but after seconds of transcoding it crashes.
Perhaps somebody has any ideas about that?

Looks like we may be on the way to having a great way to have a "web" version of MediaPortal for browsing on laptops, pc... Maybe even a slick iphone interface (Cheezy's is great but appears to be based on simple lists)..... Could also make a tongue in cheek mention of how cool this would be to view your MP content off the Apple/Microsoft tablet. ;-)

Any thoughts on if this should be able to look at the popular TVSeries and Moving Pictures databases?

Same problem here, cannot stream tv. Direct of course works when i'm home
Can somebody provide correct parameters for mencoder or ffmpeg?
With the previous version, (was it alpha 3 or 4) the parametres were better.
