Hey BeLLe. I can't really figure out what you´re trying to do? Are you trying to watch the stream on the webserver?
I can't get that to work either(had to check) and I don't know why I would want to...
If your not gonna transcode the stream, than you don't need the commands. Uncheck transcode in the Direct and it should work.

And it was the check in trancode in the Direct

Hi gemx,

I am looking for a way to control the music section in MP via my smartphone (E71, Symbian).

My idea is to have a website from which can start and stop a playlist (in combination with OnButtonMusic-Plugin), browse my artists and start/stop them. I don't need streaming just displaying the playlist, current artist and track in a webbrowser. An example for such thinks is the iPimP-Plugin which is sadly only working for iPhones....

What do you think? Is this already possible with your plugin or -if not - could you implement such things to your plugin?

Well, you can list the music files and also filter them in a webbrowser.
Furthermore you can create a playlist (.m3u file) which you can play on your smartphone if you have player that can "understand" m3u files.
If you want to just give the command to play the playlist in MP as a kind of remote control for MP itself - then nope - that isn't possiible

ok, i think I'm being a complere idiot here, but I can't get this to work at all.

I've looked through the whole thread and not seen anyone else having issues like this, so it's probably just me.

I have the plugin installed, configured and modified gentle.config in the htdocs folder with the MySQL details. Also opened the Windows7 firewall to the correct port.

So here goes:
1. How do I tell the web server is started?
2. Where do I put the WebServices.txt and TvServiceWebServices.wsdl files?

1. Look in the tv.log (C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\log) or whatever path that corresponds with yours.
2. Those files are only for developers and can be ignored

Its important to know that if you change the portnumber in the config you need to restart the tvservice.
If you have a router you need to forward that port to your computers ip-number. PortForward.com - Free Help Setting up Your Router or Firewall

I have a problem with the login. I receive the mesasage that the UserID or the password is not correct. At the plugin is the Username "admin" and the password "admin" like the base setting. Any idear?

My System: WHS, MPServer 1.0.2.0

Hey - just installed on 1.0.2. If I try and go to the website I just get "Invalid Request"... any ideas?

I thought it only works on 1.1.0 and above.

Getting the following in error.log when starting TV-Server

2009-11-18 11:13:47.384622 [10]: MPWebServices: Exception raised while trying to start webserver. Could not load file or assembly 'MiniWebServer, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

So that'll explain why I can't ger anything on 10.0.0.12

All the files are in the right places. Using MP 1.1.0 with Rev24102 applied on top.
