New plugins vs. MCE graphics (1 Viewer)

A guide describing how you created some of the graphics (or the effects) would be really cool!

The whole reason that I'm on the forum at this moment is to see if I can find such a thing.

Have just replicated the effect by doing the following in Photoshop:

Convert the image to grayscale to remove the colour and then back to RGB.
Create new layer above image to be used, fill with light gray.
Changed layer mode to 'Hard Light'.
Resized image to appropriate dimensions.

How far from the MP way is this?

Ok, I have made a "visual sdk" for MCE containing some files. I have made some comments in the actual files so if you wander what to do it should explain

It looked pretty good in Photoshop but that definately doesn't hold true for the image in MP - awful!!!

Back to the drawing board...
