Hi,

Im in the marked for a new projector and i had my eyes set for the Benq w1070. While reading about the projector i stumbled upon the fact that it must receive a 1080i 50/60hz for you to be able to enable 3D mode on 3D SBS mkv. I believe that the built in mediainfo in mediaportal will report the file to be played at 1080P 24hz and thus prohibit the projector to enable 3D mode :(

Am i missing something? It would really suck if I was to change the resolution to 1080i manually every time i wanted to view a 3D movie.

Any thoughts?

regards
Jacob

    Hi,

I have no clue except maybe setup DRR to force to use 1080i 50/60hz.
I have read pdf for this projector and for the price it look amazing but affectively 3D is only enable on 1080i 50/60hz.
It seems that it has no compensation movement too.

Hope that help (i don't think so lol)

    Hi Sebastiii,

Thanks for your reply. What is DRR? What do you mean about no compensation movement?

Im also looking at the epson tw-5910. Maybe that is a better choice.

    Regards

:) DRR is dynamic Refresh Rate :p
So we can force refresh screen for detected refresh rate (movie).
I think it's surely possible to force Interlaced resolution :p
About compensation movement, i think it's when a traveling is done from left to right, it should be stutter free, so without this option it will be hard (but maybe i'm wrong).

OK? Så DRR (or a modified version) would be able to detect that a movie is SBS 3D and then change the resolution to 1080i 50/60hz ? Now that I think of it the movie would probably stutter if it can only be played at 50/60hz instead of 24hz as it is meant to be :(

Good Question, i know MP3D Plugins use Stereoscopic Player filter but that really need to be tested with the projector :)

I think the author will update it when 1.3 final goes out :) but i think it's works for RC :p
Even without projector, you can try it and see if it will work :)

    SBS to top/bottom
