A lot of things are happening to the SimpleMP skin right now. I am updating the most gfx to make the skin and feel more "fresh". I am also looking into the new animation support and will wait some SVN:s to see the final code of the new animation technology. A lot of things are changeing right now.

The skin will of course support all avaible animation technics when it's off the beta stage.

What sort fo animations have you been considering? Planning to use what Blue Two does at first, then do your own, or do you have some planned already?

I really don't know yet. Do you have any suggestions for the animations? Does Blue Two's ones feel good?

I really love this skin. It's clean and good to read.
You should't do a skin for the SVN. Invest your time in improving the 0.2.1.0 skin and a 16:9 skin is a must.

Sounds a little selfish to me, don't you think?

But in all seriousness, I don't think y ou should worry about custom animations too much, just use the ones from Blue Two for now, and concentrate on the core skin working the way you want it to. Extras such as custom animations, and to a lesser extent, 16:9, should come after.

xemumanic, I like your slide in idea. Will look at it when I'm done with the core. I'm nearly done with the refresh of beta 1. Currently the skin is designed for 0.2.0.4 because I have that version installed on my HTPC.

I am standing in front of a crossroad right now, should I update the skin for MP 0.2.1.0 or for the latest SVN?

If I put my effort to support 0.2.1.0 bug-free and the next stable version is released when I'm 99% done, all my efforts have been unnecessarily. On the other hand, if the next stable version is far ahead the effort is worth it! I want to support the "common user version" and right now there are 2 different...
