I recently ran out of space on my tvserver so I bought a nas hdd (just like a udb hdd but connected to network instead) so that I can acces my files from all computers, but only have the one I am using turned on. Before I had all my mp3, avi and dvd movies stored on the tv server so I could acces them from my 2 clients and my laptop. But now I have moved them to the nas drive. My problem is that when I watch a movie on one of the clients from the nas hdd, the tvserver goes in standby mode (It didnt before because the files were stored on the tvserver) and when it does MP freezes when the movie is finish and I have to turn on my tvserver manually again to get MP working again. Are there a way to keep the tvserver alive while one of the client are turned on, but not accesing files from the server?? PS. I use wake on lan to start the server, but with a "magic packet" because I set the networkcard only to wake the tvserver if it is a administrator computer. If not the server turns on and of all the time for no reason.
