Hi together,

sorry for the first version in german.

Because I am quite new to this, I will probably ask some stupid questions ;-). First of all thanx to all for the effort.

I want to get the following things running:
- analogue cabel TV over the PC (simultanuously recording and watching another channel)
- timeshift
- epg, programmed recording
- listen to radio
- gaming
- Mediaportal as GUI
- remote control
- a-r-e light (www.smartbytes.nl)

1. is the whole system stable enough to exchange hardware solutions? What about the qualitiy of the recordings and watching tv?
2. am I right, that I need 2 analoge TV cards? one of them with Radio Tuner? which cards would you suggest for low budget or medium budget.
3. did anyone get a-r-e light up and running in combination with Mediaportal ?

My System is an amd 64 with 1 gb ram, nvidia gforce and 80gb harddisk. This should be enough, right?

thx and br
Stefan

    1. Don't get it... quality is good - often better than directly connected to TV, IF you have right TV, right codecs etc. There are recording tweaks tjat can be done (increase bandwidth)
    2. Yes. For radio, you can also use IP-streams. Rec.: PVR-500 (two tuners in one card)
    3. Don't know
