Which version should I use : 1.2.3.0 or 1.2.3.3 ?
I've tried 1.2.3.3 but I don't really know what I'm doing...lol
What should my windows settings be ?
Would like to sort this one way or another.

    You can use 1.2.3.3.
Windows power settings: Go to standby after 5mins.

There is not much to do. Just the two setting screens in my screenshots. :)
    Thats enough!

If I set windows to standby in 5 minutes, will that do exactly that whether I'm running MP or not?
Don't really want windows to go to standby every 5 minutes.

    You can also set 15mins.
But I think with this PS++ version there is no need to set anything in the windows power options. Just go into the PS++ config -> Tab General -> "Put the computer to sleep after X mins"

My computer will not go into standby or hibernate automatically, there must be system processes that are preventing it.I think that is why MP is causing my standby and hibernate shutdown screens to freeze.Maybe I should select 'force shutdown' in MP media options.

Tried 'force shutdown' but still didn't shutdown.I have set PS++ as of the screen shot on the previous page,I have scheduled a recording in MP.I then manually placed my pc in hibernation. At the given time PS++ restarts my computer and records the program.........great stuff !! but it will not hibernate or standby after the recording has finished.I give up now,it's not worth the hassle.I will simply use MP as a TV player.

As I wrote before. Have you enabled DVB EPG grabbing?
Here is the wiki link to PS++: http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/index.php?title=1_MEDIAPORTAL_1/17_Extensions/3_Plugins/TV-Server_Plugins/PowerScheduler++/Configuration

Maybe you added a process which prevents standby?

No I haven't enabled DVB EPG grabbing. No processes have been added to prevent standby.Maybe windows will hibernate/standby eventually it may require more time to complete tasks that may be running.I've been to the microsoft site and it says that a lot of system processes are carried out when the system is idle, maybe thats part of the problem.[DOUBLEPOST=1344955206][/DOUBLEPOST]The second line of your screen shot: Enter away mode when user wants to put the computer to sleep is missing from my set-up.
