I built my first HTPC. I had installed Media portal on my laptop and another desktop I had to see how I liked it before I put it on this machine. On those two computers it worked fine but for some reason on the new one I can not get MP to open the video player when i try to play an avi or mpg file. I orginally put MCE on the machine and could not get mce to play them as well. I thought it was MCE and I installed XP pro. Still same problem. Oddly if i play it in media player they work fine. Any ideas?</p><p></p><p>Also by the way my Firefly came with beyond tv basic and it will play the files as well.</p></blockquote><p></p>
