Next Songs Listing in LastFM/Rockstar (1 Viewer)

Hello Everybody,

recently I started to set up a htpc with media portal 1.2.1.0 for the very first time, and I am very impressed so far. I am using the newest avalon skin. Though I am a complete newbie, most topics on my wish list were easy to achieve since I found many helpful articles in here. So many highly accomodating members don't leave many questions open.

But, after looking around a while, there is one minor problem I couldn't solve, because I couldn't find the right answer in the forum. When I use the LastFM or Rockstar - plugin, the song list and the NowPlaying window almost completely cover the fanart backdrop so the whole center of any picture is hidden. Looks rather poor and is probably not meant to be like that.

It would be cool if anybody gave me a hint what values are to be changed (if generally possiblel) to get most of the backdrop clear of the lists without lacking the information i.e. re-arrange the window and "shrink" the tables to fit into the lower third of the whole surface.

seems as if there was no solution for my request/problem. Really no one has an idea?
Too bad if I still had to see lists instead of the nice fanart pics on my backdrop.

Hi,

Sorry I didn't see your post until now.

Now Playing view has some issues with custom music plugins like Rockstar since it would require that the plugin uses playlist system that Mediaportal code provides. However this playlist system doesn't fit for my purposes so it is not used in Rockstar and therefore "Next track" information is not available.

thank you for your reply, which in fact confuses me a bit.

Does that mean that it is not possible to customize the appearance of these windows or to re-arrange the boxes' positions? I am quite sure that I saw a couple of screenshots showing LastFM/Rockstar showing song information only in the lower parts of the screen. Isn't there an xml file where you can define the position and probably font sizes?

Actually it is not an issue that makes either of the progs useless, but of course it is nicer to see the fanart pics.

Now that I read your first post I understand that your problem is only skin related

Maybe you should post this problem with screenshot(s) to Avalon forums if it is only related to Avalon?

Ah, ok, I didn't have a clue that it is a skin related topic.
As you can see I am a complete newbie.

If I got you right, everything that has to do with appearance has to be adjusted in the skin properties.
Thank you very much for this conclusion, I will follow your advice.
