I have no 5.1 or DTS Soundsound with (30gb)Blue ray rips in H264. Format (.TS files)
-
- My MediaPortal is connected using SPDIF
- Mkv/Divx DVD's work flawlessly with 5.1DD or DTS audio (even DVD .TS files)

When i play a H264 File in .TS format my output is stereo. (POWERDVD DOES work)
I tried 'all' the output audio codec i could find in Mediaportal. but i looks like mediaportal skips the selected audiocodec.

Hunter: ill try that now :), hope it works... ill get back to you.. thanks

what have you set in config:

audio = ffdshow, in dvd and movie = No movie, no series, no DVD will play audio in real sourround.

Audio = Microsoft mpeg-1/DD Audio Encoder = Ale will play excatly as thy should, real soround audio, and my revicer will lit up BLUE and tell me its true 5.1 and stuff like that

EXCEPT.. yeahh you guseed it, MKV DTS :(

So the comunety pack is as good as what i had installed :(
did not solve the problem, im sad to say :(

    any other idears?
also im wondering why ffdshow, audio cant get any movie, mkv, avi, dvd to play true 5.1... ??

    Solve the problems. weeeee.

im sure one can do it what ever pack one installed.
but im now on CCCP.. and the important thing to remember is:
AC3 and DTS set to S/PDIF in FFDShow Audio Decoder Config
Im not using, s/pdif, im USING HDMI, but apparently that dos not matter here, it must be set to:
AC3 and DTS set to S/PDIF in FFDShow Audio Decoder Config

than all my audio works just like thy should :)

ive set all encoders to: ffdshow

SPDIF, my audio is deliverd via HDMI cabel to my reciver..

    i dont USE SPDIF..

But apparntly, to get it to deliver real true multichannel via hdmi, one have tio set it to:
AC3 and DTS set to S/PDIF in FFDShow Audio Decoder Config

Why, dont know, stupid? Hell yeahh, makes no sense, and thats why i did take me so long to find why it was not working ;(

but now i know, thanks bro :)
