I hated the bundled software that came with the Hauppauge PVR-150 so I decided to use Mediaportal. I'm very new to the TV-Card world, but I stumbled my way through the setup reasonably well and was watching TV before too long. For some reason, if I change channels, the audio will drop out. I have tried changing codecs and render devices with no luck. I switched back to the Hauppauge junk to see if it was still working (it was fine before) and now it will drop out after channel change as well. The only fix I have found is to simply shut down and restart MP. I couldn't find any other posts about this, so I started up my own. Hopefully somebody has encountered this or at least knows how I can fix it. Thank you in advance.

    Try uninstalling MP, FFDShow.

    Reboot

Reinstall FFDShow then MP without any codecs (Gabest, MPV\MPA), Renderer must always be set to default sound device in config. see if that cures it.

If not then reinstall sound driver, as may have a application error occuring there.
