i've ran into an issue with my computer and had to reinstall anti-virus protection and now i've ran into the issues where, if i hook my computer up via hdmi (bitstream) to my reciever and open media portal to playback a movie, i don't get any audio thru my stereo speakers, just my computer speakers. When i open my control panel to select the receiver in the sounds options i don't see any selection. I'm hoping its an easy tweak. The system was working the other day perfectly.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

    Easiest is...........

Have you checked the mixer in Windows (this assume your using Win 7 - if not, ignore:)?

Each application has it's own volume slider - having re-installed the whole sh'bang myself before now by missing this, it's a simple check.

Run MP not in full screen or always on top mode (just so you can see the task bar). Click on the speaker, select mixer and if MP slider of zero, you've found your problem - zap it and and test:)

If that don't work, lots of bods here in forums who'll help with the more complicated stuff:)

    TTFN - JCMP

    Hope that's it - J.
