No audio with timeshift enabled

Hopefully this will be my last question & I'll be able to start answering questions.
If I enable timeshifting, I get no audio whatsoever. As soon as I disable it, everything is fine.
I have my sat box running into my 150MCE & then coax digital into my receiver. I've tried ffdshow audio decoders & ac3filter decoders.
Where else can I look?

Is it possible that when timeshift is enabled it is treated more like a video playback than real time streaming?
This is the only thing I can think of. In that case maybe check your settings for MyVideos and test making them the same as MyTV.

I remember something about this from a very long time ago, but am not even sure if that's right or not.

    Can't hurt to test though.

I'll do another search & see what I come up with, but I don't think that's it since my videos play fine. I have a feeling it's something to do with the audio codec or more likely the audio renderer.

I unistalled Media Portal, deleted the folders & reinstalled RC4, but there's still no audio if timeshifting is enabled.
I've posted my mediaportal log at http://mp.pastebin.com/707748
    There are a couple errors:

Does this mean I should re-install DirectX?

    Edit: Recorded TV has sound.

Have you tried any of the "default" audio decoders that ship with MediaPortal? In fact, I would suggest that you un-install both ffdshow and ac3, and just work with the MediaPortal supplied audio decoders until you get it working correctly. Then you can re-install ffdshow and ac3 to see if either of them break it... :?

Yes, I've tried the default decoders. I'll take your advice & uninstall everything. I'll keep you up-to-date.

I did a system restore to jsut after I had installed ffdshow & ac3filter & now it works. I've updated to the latest svn & it still works.
I don't know what I did, but I must have corrupted something.

Glad to know that it's working. It was beginning to look like one of those ethereal problems that only a reinstall of the OS could fix.
